For Future Messi vs Ronaldo content, like our Facebook Page on the right →   →   →

Los Blancos will have to start their 2015 with a challenging game as they take on Valencia this Sunday at the Mestalla to play their seventeenth game in the 2014-15 season of La Liga.

The Whites will carry a 22-game winning streak into 2015. Los Blancos would be hoping to continue their victory run.

Real Madrid are currently a point ahead at the top of the table after playing one match less than their rivals, Barcelona.

Real Madrid are not the only team who have a competetive match week ahead:

Atletico Madrid vs Levante

  • Atletico Madrid are positioned third on the table and are the title defenders.
  • Levante are known to spoil the party and may force the opponent to drop points as done previously against Valencia and Real Sociedad.

Sevilla vs Celta de Vigo

  • Sevilla are positioned 6th on the table and are the Europa League title defenders and have defeated Real Sociedad, draw against Valencia. They were once positioned 2nd on the table.
  • Celta de Vigo are positioned 8th on the table and have defeated Barcelona this season.

Real Sociedad vs Barcelona

FACT: Barcelona have not won an away game against Real Sociedad in La Liga since 2010.

Valencia are currently:
  • Positioned 4th on the table.
  • Have won only 2 of their last 5 matches.
  • Have been defeated by Levante, Barcelona and Deportivo de La Coruña.
  • Lost to Barcelona only in the final seconds of the game.
  • Defeated Atlético Madrid.

The last meeting against Valencia resulted in a 2-2 draw which almost confirmed the title hopes to fade away last season. It was this same match where Ronaldo scored this amazing back heel goal.

Real Madrid players out due to injury:

  • Marcelo
  • Modric

Game Preview: Real Madrid vs Ludogorets Razgrad

Real Madrid will enter the Santiago Bernabau Stadium to end the Champions League group stage with another win when they take on Ludogorets Razgrad.

Real Madrid have not only secured the top spot in Group B but also are the only team in the competition to have not dropped a single point yet.

On the other hand Ludogorets Razgrad have ended their chances of entering the round of 16 of the UCL after their 2-2 draw against Liverpool. The still have a chance to enter the UEFA Europa League, but their chances depends on how well the game ends for Basel at Anfield.

To guarantee a spot in the Europa League the fans must hope for:

  • A win for Ludogorets Razard and a draw or win for Basel.
  • A draw for Ludogorets Razard and a win for Basel.
  • A loss for Ludogorets Razard and a worse defeat for Liverpool.

The last meeting with the Bulgarian side ended with Real Madrid emerging victorious after a 1-2 victory at Sofia. Cristiano Ronaldo scored an equalizing penalty in that game and Benzema registered the winning goal after making an entrance at the 66th minute of the game.

Sergio Ramos will miss the clash has he picked up a tactical yellow card and his third for the competition. He has now cleared his discipline record for the further important games.

James Rodriguez might not feature after suffering an injury to his right calf muscle.

It would be interesting to see if Ancelotti will play his first team for the final game or will drop some players due to the advent of the FIFA Club World Cup which begins for the Whites in almost a week.

Real Madrid look to continue to extend their winning streak to 19 games tomorrow.

There could be a possibility for Jese Rodriguez to start on the forward line, Keylor Navas as the Goalkeeper and Alvaro Medran for Toni Koros after half time.

If Cristiano Ronaldo(71) scores then he would break Raul's record(71) but would still be 2 behind his rival, Lionel Messi(excluding qualifying games).

If Real Madrid wins this game, then they will be the first team to win all the games of the group stage twice.

La Liga- Match Week 7 Analysis

Real Madrid have started the month of October with a win and will face Athletic Bilbao this Sunday at the Santiago Bernabau Stadium to play their seventh game in the 2014-15 season of La Liga.

After Atletico Madrid defeated Sevilla 4-0 at home, the difference in points between Sevilla and Real Madrid have been reduced to 1 point. But this fact won’t really be helpful for the Blancos this week as Sevilla clash with the newly promoted team Deportivo at home.

There is only a slight possibility that arch rivals, Barcelona, might drop some points as they will travel to play an away game against Rayo Vallecno. Barcelona leads the points table with 16 points.

The game which will be kept an eye on by Madrid fans is the clash between Valencia and Atletico Madrid each with 14 points who place 2nd and 3rd respectively.

If Real Madrid win their game and....

  •  A draw for Valencia and Atletico Madrid would result in both teams moving to 15 points. With 15 points Real Madrid would place themselves above both the teams with a greater goal difference.
  • A win for Valencia would see Atletico Madrid left with 14 points. Real Madrid with 15 would move above them.
  • A win for Atletico Madrid would see Valencia left with 14 points. Real Madrid with 15 would move above them.

Coming back to the Game in hand, Los Blancos would be hoping to continue their victory run. Athletic Club on the other hand would be determined to grab their first away win for the season.

Things would be different for the clash tomorrow if compared to their meeting last season.

This season Athletic Bilbao are:
  • Positioned 16th on the table.
  • They scored 4 and conceded 6 goals after 6 games.
  • They have lost against Malaga, Barcelona, Granada, Rayo Vallecano.
  • They have only won one of their last 6 games.

The last meeting of Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao had seen that form of the club where they:

  • Positioned 4th on the table.
  • Had won 8 of their last 9 matches
  • Which included the loss of Barcelona at Athletic Club's home.
  • They had scored 15 goals in their last 3 games.

Real Madrid on the other hand are:
  • Positioned 5th on the table
  • Undefeated in their last 5 games
  • Scored 22 goals in their last 5 games

So there is quite a possibility that Real Madrid would continue their winning streak for this season.

Florentino Perez speaks out on Di María and Xabi Alonso's departure and other trending club issues

Di María’s departure

“I arrived in 2000 and over the years many players have come and gone. Di María, like all the players who have belonged to this club and have had to leave, has our affection and respect, because he has been a part of this club. Nobody has ever heard me speak ill of any of the many players who have been with me”.

“A player who has a contract in place leaves because he wants to, because if he doesn’t want to, Real Madrid has always honoured its contracts with its players. His reason, and I don’t mind saying it, is that he had financial demands that we were unable to meet. Real Madrid made him the best offer, the highest possible, but he had other expectations. No other player in this team has those wages except for Ronaldo, who is the best in the world”.

“It’s a personal decision and there’s nothing else we can do. If we had accepted, there would have been resentment that could have jeopardised the financial stability of the club. We respect Di María for his position, but we have signed James, who was one of the best at the World Cup and received the Golden Boot”.

“We’re delighted that Di María has found another club that they have paid us the amount that we consider fair. We appreciate his personality and the effort he has made over the past four years and we wish him luck. With affection and recognition, we can only tell the truth about this business”, said Florentino Pérez.

Xabi Alonso

“I have a very good relationship with him and he came to plead with us to let him go. He explained it very clearly. He believes the best way to manage his final years as a professional is what he has done, both for him and for the club. We respect his wishes. We thought and reflected with him; we opted to keep Khedira and we thought we had that position resolved. They are considerations we made with Alonso and with the manager. I reiterate that it was his request and we were able to give it to him. The position is well covered in the future with Kroos, one of the best at the World Cup, who is only 24 years old, and with Illarramendi”.

Falçao

“He’s a magnificent player. We considered signing him on several occasions but we do what we believe is best for the club, regardless of who his representative is. The manager, as ever, played a decisive part in the decision”.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s views on the management of the club

“I know him very well. In addition to being the best player in the world, which is obvious, his loyalty has been unquestionable. I’ve heard his statements and I am certain he has not tried to question the club’s policy. I have a good relationship with him and have talked a lot with him and I can tell you that he is delighted with the new signings. He is an exemplary player, and there are no disagreements, none”.

Casillas and goalkeeping debate

“There should be no debate. The players have to be at the service of the manager. We have three good goalkeepers. The one who has left had a good offer and decided to leave. They’re all very good and the manager is the one who is responsible, that’s what he is paid for”.

Detailed Report: Javier Hernández 'Chicharito' to Real Madrid from Manchester United

As the deadline day for the summer transfer window comes to a close, Real Madrid have scooped Javier Hernández 'Chicharito' for one season.

Just an hour ago Real Madrid Official reported:

Real Madrid C. F. and Manchester United have reached an agreement for the loan of Javier Chicharito Hernández, who will be at the club throughout this season.
Real Madrid have the option to purchase the player.
Javier Chicharito Hernández will appear before the media in the Santiago Bernabéu press room today at 16:30.

Ancelotti was deeply interested in signing a striker as a replacement for Benzema after Alvaro Morata left the club for Juventus.

Real Madrid were searching for a striker from the very beginning of the transfer window, with names like Luis Suarez, Ramadel Falcao and many other star players were linked as a replacement for Karim Benzema. But later on Karim Bemzema signed a contract till 2019 which confirmed that he won’t be leaving the club and the next striker will only serve as a substitute player for him on field.

Real Madrid were interested in a loan deal for Javier Hernández rather than a permanent ownership because of the presence of Real Madrid's Jese Rodriguez in the dressing room. The club deeply believes that Jese, who was out for 7 months after a serious knee injury during the second leg of the game against Schalke 04, will perform well in the future games for Real Madrid. The Blancos rising star had quite an astounding start at Real Madrid and was significantly endorsed by the Spanish media and fans worldwide.

Chicharito has been on the bench and is being played as a substitute player for Manchester United for many games and won't be disappointed to frequently find the bench for Real Madrid in the initial stages of the game.
